The method(s) used by the institution to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive:

  • HEERF 1 funds were equally split between all students enrolled at the time of the declared national pandemic.

  • HEERF 2 funds were distributed to students who were eligible for financial aid and showed financial need.

  • HEERF 3 funds were distributed to students who were eligible for financial aid and showed financial need.

Students who received funding received guidance that this money was coming from the CARES ACT and was nontaxable as an allotment for emergency relief funding for chosen students. We sent out a memo with the checks for the HEERF 1 payments and sent an email with this information for the HEERF 2 and 3 recipients.
