Watch Library Rise in 80-second Time-lapse
Construction was recently completed on Rouquette Library, the first new building at Saint Joseph Abbey and Seminary College in more than half a century. Construction of the library is essential to Saint Joseph's master plan to enhance its academic and formation programs.

'Come & See' Weekend Brings Nearly 60 Men to Seminary College
During the recent Come & See Weekend, 56 young men from the dioceses of Alexandria, Atlanta, Baton Rouge, Beaumont, Biloxi, Fort Worth, Galveston-Houston, Houma-Thibodaux, Lafayette and Shreveport got a glimpse of seminarian life.

Seminarians volunteer at Local Therapeutic Equestrian Center
Each week, seminarians volunteer at the New Heights Therapeutic Riding Center, in which horses help adults and children who have physical, cognitive, and emotional difficulties. The visits are part of the seminary's pastoral formation program.

Renovation of Vianney Hall Receives Award of Merit
Congratulations to our friends at VergesRome Architects, who won an Award of Merit in the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Louisiana design competition for the renovation of the Seminary College's Vianney Hall.

Saint Joseph has the largest seminary college in the country

Saint Joseph Seminary College welcomed 139 seminarians this year for the Fall 2018 semester. Seminarians this year represent 21 archdioceses and dioceses from six states across the Gulf South region.
